A beautiful vintage timepiece from the better days of Universal Geneve. Excellent size at 34mm with a 43mm lug-to-lug (fancy lugs will do that), meaning this watch will wear slightly larger than the diameter suggests. 18mm lugs. The dial has a beautiful speckled patina and the case is a warm 10k gold-filled. The movement is a beautiful 138 SS bumper movement, and it’s keeping excellent time. Winds and sets easily.

For those newer to bumper movements, they do not have a rotor that fully rotates around the watch as most other automatic movements do; they have a smaller back-and-forth motion where the rotor “bump” between two springs, hence the name. Because of this limited motion, the winding, and as a result the power reserve, tends to need more activity and motion to sustain itself than a regular automatic movement. The more you know!
